We build relationships with the communities we serve.
As a successful member of the community, AIREKO is committed to contributing to the common good. We believe in taking responsibility and contributing to the community in which we operate, supporting diverse initiatives that focus on education, the arts and the environment, while developing community partnerships that promote industriousness and solidarity.
Education
AIREKO has been committed to education since its inception in 1963. Fundación Aireko is mostly dedicated to awarding scholarships to college students with limited or no financial resources pursuing an engineering degree. Since 2000, AIREKO awarded the Quique and Vicky Rossi Scholarships to various education programs that exceed $100,000. The recipients that benefited from these funds were engineering students with limited financial resources.
AIREKO continually contributes to entities and programs such as:
- SER of Puerto Rico, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational and rehabilitation services to disabled adults and children.
- Build Up & On Site, an educational program created by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) Puerto Rico Chapter for middle school students of the Puerto Rico public school system, which stimulates and engages students in learning activities relating to the construction industry.
- Public & Private Schools in Puerto Rico
- Turabo University Endowment Fund & University of Sacred Heart FEE Scholarship Program
Arts
AIREKO has, for many decades, contributed to the development of the arts in Puerto Rico. We are firm supporters and believe the Arts are a fundamental component in the development of any individual. Recipients of donations are:
Teatro de la Opera
, CulturArte Opera House
, Ponce Museum of Art, Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico and the Contemporary Museum of Art
